“ Great food friendly staff great atmosphere . Service is quick and the menu is plentiful. Wide range of drinks available also. I would definitely recommend. ”
“ Are you craving authentic Thai food in Leeds? Mommy Thai serves the best Thai food in town. On top of that, they also serve Northern Thai dishes (Isaan). We love their Gaeng Om Gai (Thai herbs with chicken), Som tum (papaya salad) and Guey Jap. Don't forget Thai milk tea (Cha Yen) and ice coffee (Kafe Yen). Their portion is very generous. We love their friendly staffs. You will feel like you are in Thailand. Currently they are doing set lunch (£8.99) starter, main and a drink. Don't miss this golden opportunity! ”
“ What a fantastic little place it transported me back to January when I was in Thailand .. there is not many places I have been in that can do that .. I will be defiantly be going back when I return to Leeds great food, great service, great atmosphere ”
“ If you are at all bored, in your life, or about anything, you need to come and eat here. If things are at all drab, or mundane, or miserable, even just slightly, you need to come and eat here. What a phantasmagorical kaleidoscope-scape, with movie posters and dangling lights and menu pictures in the windows and stacks of colorful crates of beverages and the CASH ONLY signs at the counter with the mommy cooking conflagration going on behind. And the menu! I first stopped at 'The Thai Guy' and looked at the menu - - but it seemed so - - straightforward. But the Mommy Thai menu was like a hoodoo guru rockabilly fantasy - - all the entrees sound droolworthy, but the menu also has this section entitled "Foodie's Menu." I got the Yum Woon Sen, which is glassy noodles with minced pork, onion, chilli garlic lime and celery plus sundry herbs - - it was FUN. This is one of the most delightfully FUN foods I have had since I don't know when - - tangy and spicy and oodles of spinning noodles with the minced pork falling off the hill left and right - - totally vivid hot&tangy dis-orientingly unpredictably satisfying this dish - - and also got the spare rib appetizer, which was FUN - - it wasn't fall-off-the-bone spare ribs but more gnawing, chewing spare ribs in a tangy sweet bbq sauce - - super hot and hard to hold (the one that popped out of the fingers and fell to the floor I picked up and wiped off and went back to gnawing). MAN what a delight Mommy is. This place is a quasi-understated, psychedelic, funky, home-cooked, taste-o-rific blast of an eatery. GREAT prices, too. [P.S. - - I notice in reviews on another website that people who normally love the food here write scathing reviews when they get carry-out from here. There is a simple lesson to be learned from that: if you want an enjoyable meal, don't ask for it put in a box and driven around town on a motorbike.] ”
